Mizuno’s Masanori Kobayashi won his first Japan Open Championship – coming from 2 behind with 3 birdies on the back nine.

The stunning last round ensured Kobayashi a starting place at this year’s Open Championship at Hoylake. The victory at Japan’s most pretigious event also secured a 5 year exemption for Masanori on the Japan Tour.

Mizuno loyalist Kobayashi has played on the Japan Golf Tour since 1999. He won his first event in 2011 at the Totoumi Hamamatsu Open and his second at the Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open in 2012.

Masanori played MP-H4 driver 9.5 degree, MP Fairway #3, MP-H4 #3 iron, MP-64 (4-PW) and MP T-4 wedges.
