JPX900 Tour irons match course record 63 at ‘The Players’.

Course records held at both St Andrews Old Course and Sawgrass with JPX900 Tour

Mizuno’s JPX900 Tour irons are steadily building to iconic status in the pro ranks.  Having been played to set the old course record of 61 at St Andrews in 2017, they reached another landmark at the ‘The Players’ – with their owner playing a stunning 63 on Sunday’s last round.   The same irons were also played by the winner of the 2017 US Open.  None of the players in question were contracted to or sponsored by Mizuno

“We’re finding that a group of the more aggressive players are liking the trajectory and distance control of the JPX900 Tour – which comes from the reinforced back frame.  It’s proving out to be a great iron when guys are dialled in and firing straight at the pin.”  – Alex Thorne, European Tour Operations Manager.
