Maiden Tour Victory for Rising Star Cowan

#TeamMizuno Member Olivia Cowan Shoots -11 at the Weekend to Win in India

With a final round 68 (-4), Olivia Cowan claimed her first ever Ladies European Tour (LET) title at the Hero Women’s Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club.

A sensational score of 275 (-13) was enough to secure victory by three shots and her maiden tour title in her 96th event.

With 27 career Top-10 finishes and previous best runner-up finish before this week, the 26 year-old rising star started the week with two 71’s (-1) to safely make the weekend. A virtually flawless Saturday round 65 (-7) was backed up by a strong 68 (-4) Sunday finish for an outstanding 11-under weekend to get the job done.

I have come close a few times, but I am so happy to get over the line. To be honest, the whole weekend I wasn’t really thinking of winning this time. I just wanted to go out there and have a good mindset and just play good golf.

Cowan has become renowned on Tour for her unbelievably straight hitting off the tee. With a driving accuracy of over 80% for the 2022 season, she has quickly established herself as one of the LET’s most accurate golfers.

With just two events to go before the end of the 2022 season, sitting at 19th on the LET money list, Olivia will be hoping to continue her fantastic form as she heads into the final stages of the LET Tour season.
