Jiyai Shin wins with Mizuno at the JLPGA Fujitsu

Jiyai Shin of South Korea won Japan’s Fujitsu Ladies Tournament at the weekend – playing Mizuno MP-18 MMC irons.  The win was the former world number one’s 25th of her JLPGA career.  In 2008 Shin won three times in ten starts on the LPGA Tour – claiming the Women’s British Open in the process.  The win completes a run of three for Mizuno in the ladies game – following Erika Hara’s Japan Open Championship and Sei Young Kim’s first major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

The MP-18 MMC irons played by Jiyai Shin are an older model from Mizuno –  since replaced by the MP-20 MMC with additional copper underlay.
