Saigo adds Panasonic Open ladies in 2022 hot streak

Mizuno’s Mao Saigo (22) extended her incredible 2022 win streak at the JLPGA’s Panasonic Open Ladies – her 4th win in 7 season starts.  Saigo shot 70, 68, 68 to finish (-10) and win by 2 shots.

Saigo has now won 4 times on the JLPGA in 2022.

Saigo entered the tournament ranked 24th in the world and after her 4th 2022 win is expected to rise again.  Saigo’s bag has remained consistent over 2022 – playing ST-X 220 Driver, JPX 921 FORGED irons and S18 wedges 50-07, 54-12 and 58-12.

Mao is on an amazing run – over a 50% win rate is unparalleled in any of the world’s tour’s right now.  We are very excited to see how her game translates to some US based events and majors.

On the DP World Tour Laurie Canter came painfully close to claiming his first win – twice leading in Spain before finishing T3 on (-9).    At the Mexico Open on the PGA Tour, another recent Mizuno signing Bryson Nimmer demonstrated his ability to compete on the biggest stage – leading after a first-round 64.  Greyson Sigg continued his consistent rookie form finishing (-7).

Canter started the 4th day strongly – before slipping to T3rd.
