Saddier wins full DP World Tour status
Saddier joins Hundeboll on DP World Tour after final qualifying
Mizuno’s Adrien Saddier finished DP World Tour Final qualifying with three rounds under 70 to finish just inside the top 25 and claim a full DP World Tour card for 2023.
Saddier recorded scores of 71, 69, 70, 68, 66, 67 to finish (-17) at the Lakes Course, Infinitum, Tarragona, Spain and claim the last available card for 2023. Saddier joins fellow Mizuno player, Dane Oliver Hundebøll (22) who qualified by finishing 8th on the 2022 Challenge Tour rankings.
It was a day of near misses for Saddier’s Mizuno team mates – OJ Farrell (-15), Marco Penge (-14), Pavan Sagoo (-13) and Mateusz Gradecki (-12). However, all take a full Challenge Tour card for 2023 and will have starts on the DP World Tour. Mizuno Tour Operations Manager, Alex Thorne, was happy with the progress of his young team.
Final qualifying might be the toughest of all weeks – 6 rounds on a tough track and shooting under par 6 times still isn’t enough. It’s very tough on the players who just missed out on their full cards for 2023, but they’ve all played some great golf this week and will have plenty of opportunities to advance again next season. They have all the talent in the world to capitalize when their moment comes.
