COVID19 Update: Mizuno EMEA Custom Fit

Expected wait time extended to 90 days on European Custom Orders

I would like to take this opportunity to give everyone the clearest picture we can on the current wait times for Mizuno custom fit products.  As you may well know, there is a shortage of components throughout the golf industry, caused by the global surge in demand for golf clubs since the initial lockdown ended in the Spring of 2020.   This has lengthened the turn-around time for Mizuno to dispatch custom sets.

For the immediate future – please place any custom orders with an expectation that you will need to wait up to 90 days before dispatch (note added 25th Feb).

We believe our recent performance is the best guide for how long you might expect to wait.  Having analysed all of our custom fit orders for the October 2020 – January 2021 period, the turn-around times are as follows:

  • 57% of all custom orders were shipped within 30 days of the order being placed.
  • 91% of all custom orders were shipped within 60 days of the order being placed.
  • 99% of all custom orders were shipped within 90 days of the order being placed.

Our KPI prior to the lockdown of 2020 was to dispatch 95% of custom orders within 10 days of the order being placed.  This has been pushed out to around 60 days due to the changing landscape.  Whilst this is not ideal, we believe, during the current global pandemic to turn 90% of our custom orders around in 2 months or less is a goal we can be confident of continuing over the coming months.

We appreciate that this lengthening of our turn-around time may cause some frustration, but we are doing everything within our control to improve our processes and reduce these times.
