Luke Donald hits the ST190G and ST200G side by side
Long time Mizuno player Luke Donald hasn’t always found it easy to work into a Mizuno driver. We talked to Luke and Mizuno’s PGA Tour manager Jeff Cook on their success with the ST190, Luke’s ideal spin numbers and moving into the new ST200 for 2020. In testing with Luke and other tour players, Mizuno found that the new ST200 spun around 500rpm less than its predecessor (with the weights in similar settings).
Luke had his ST190 set up with the weights far forward in the lowest spin setting. With the ST200 he has the weights all the way back to achieve the same spin numbers. As it gets warmer and Luke’s speed increases, we can knock it down again.
