COVID-19 UPDATE: European Custom Assembly Re-Opens

Statement from Rob Jackson, Head of Golf, Mizuno EMEA

After seven weeks of closure, we have reopened the EMEA Mizuno custom assembly facility at Cumbernauld, Scotland.  The health and safety of our staff is of utmost importance, and we have used this time to increase the spacing between workers and install full-height screens between sections.

To create the desired spacing between staff, just one of two original production lines is currently operational, and this will have an effect on our lead times as the team adapt to the new working conditions.  It is expected that this will allow the backlog of custom orders placed before and during lockdown to be assembled and dispatched within 10 days. New orders should then take from 10-14 days from order to dispatch.

We pride ourselves on the Japanese Kaizen concept of continuous improvement at our facility, and the team will be working together to ensure this happens under the new social distancing guidelines so that we can improve these lead times.

Many thanks for your support and patience throughout these testing times.
