Erika Hara puts Mizuno ST200X driver in play

First Mizuno global driver makes its mark on the JLPGA

The tour seeding of Mizuno’s 2020 driver line up continued to gather momentum over the weekend as Erika Hara added the Mizuno ST200X driver to her set up.   After a week’s testing Hara switched from her Mizuno Professional model at the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan.  Hara is one of Mizuno’s brightest up and coming players winning her first JLPGA event in 2019.

The ST200X is a new addition to Mizuno’s driver line up – with an overall lighter clubweight and draw biased internal weighting.  Expected to suit mid and slower swing speeds – but with several tour players already liking the look of the head at address.  More pics of Mizuno ST200X at GolfWRX.

The Mizuno ST200 drivers were first seen tested on the PGA Tour’s new ZOZO Championship in Japan – with the first going into play at the RSM Classic at Sea Island GC.

Tour Ready.  World Ready.

The new ST200’s follow a major turn in fortune for its metalwoods in 2019 – with a return to tour usage and an immediate win for Keith Mitchell (ST190 / Honda Classic).  The ST200 will continue the tour usage trend – adding the weight of Mizuno’s Japanese and Asian tour staff.   Making the ST200 Mizuno’s first fully global tour product in recent history.  All 3 new ST200 drivers feature a new Beta Ti face which is more resilient than the previous 6-4 Ti – in testing producing greater ball speeds from across the clubface.

The ST200 metalwoods will also become Mizuno’s main tour product for the Japan and Asian Tours.
