New Mizuno Talent Ben Griffin makes his mark

Griffin demonstrates his PGA Tour potential at Bay Hill

New #MizNextGen recruit Ben Griffin (26) announced his signing in style – finishing at the top of the Mizuno pack at the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a final score of  (-4). Griffin (26), a graduate of the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour, finished T14th in one of 2023’s strongest fields outside of a Major.  Griffin was joined by Luke Donald, Keith Mitchell and Greyson Sigg at Bay Hill.

Ben Griffin (26) earned his status on the 2022/23 PGA Tour via a 15th place finish on the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour. He finished tied 4th in the PGA Tour’s 2022 Wyndham Championship and was tied 3rd in November’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship.  A graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Griffin turned pro in 2018 and has steadily made his way through the ranks to reach the main Tour this season. Griffin is already consistently making cuts on the 2022/23 PGA Tour.

I fell in love with the new ST-X  while testing drivers from all brands and quickly put it into play.  After success on the course, we looked at adding the Mizuno Pro 221 irons. That transition was as seamless as you’d imagine and partnering with Mizuno became an easy decision. I’m very grateful to make things official and look forward to my journey alongside Mizuno Golf.

New Mizuno emerging talent Ben Griffin has been stretching himself on the PGA Tour in 2023.

Mizuno has also recently added Korn Ferry talent Jacob Bergeron (24).  Bergeron played collegiately at Louisiana State University, going there as the 11th ranked junior player in the US. He has played on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and the Korn Ferry Tour. He placed second in the 2022 Live and Work in Maine Open and finished 65th on the Korn Ferry Tour points list for the season.

With the elevated funds now entering the game’s top tier, Mizuno believes the time is right to focus its efforts on emerging talent.  Demonstrated by the two signings, Mizuno’s stake in the Clutch Pro Tour in Europe and the AJGA events in the US for 2023.
