1st win for Erika Hara on J LPGA

Plus another win for David Dixon on the PGA EuroPro Tour

Mizuno’s Erika Hara won her first J-LPGA tournament (the Resort Trust Ladies) – securing victory at second hole of a play-off.  Hara played the Mizuno Pro MODEL-E driver, FW, UT and Mizuno Pro 918 iron.  Hara is one of Mizuno’s rising stars in Japan  – featuring five times on Golfing Magazine front covers in 2019.  Hara is 20 years old with ambitions to graduate onto the LPGA Tour.

We’re very excited for Erika and glad to get this first win.  She drives the ball incredibly well and looks to have the game needed to progress onto the world stage.

Meanwhile in the UK a much more familiar face was winning on the PGA EuroPro Tour.  In his first event back on the PGA EuroPro Tour since 2017 David Dixon clinched The Matchroom Sport Championship at Harleyford Golf Club /Marlow.   It was a consistent week for Dixon with rounds of 70, 66 and 67.  Dixon played the MP18 blades and new Mizuno ST190 driver.  Dixon had already won with the new driver back at the PGA Championship in Turkey, Antalya in November.

Mizuno players have enjoyed success across the world in 2019 – lead by Keith Mitchell who won his first PGA event at the 2019 Honda Classic.  The winner of the PGA Championship also added to his growing haul of major wins playing JPX919 Tour irons – albeit without being a sponsored Mizuno player.
