The Syracuse, NY native played his collegiate golf at Le Moyne College, where he earned NCAA D-II Honorable Mention All-American selections in 2005 and 2007. Dan turned professional in 2007, and has been a Korn Ferry Tour member since 2013. Playing accomplishments have included 11 Top 10 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour, and qualifying for the US Open in 2010 and 2020.
